A poem for the Holidays

It’s holiday time and you know what sets the mood.

Grandma’s house, the holiday spot for food.

Family loves grandma’s house for a reason.

Her love is the embodiment of holiday season.

Grandma always greets us with a hug and kiss.

Whenever she wasn’t around she was always missed.

Grown ups laugh and talk helping grandma set the table.

Reminiscening about all the family’s greatest fables.

Meats, vegetables, cakes and pies meet our eyes.

Later the sugar highs will leave you in the sky.

So much family life got us laughing and talking.

Over filled with grandma’s cooking we’re barely walking.

Grandma’s love. You can feel it when you’re near it.

Grandma’s house. The core of holiday spirit.
