Committed.

Concreters arrive early Monday

Luke is at work on a Sunday

~~~~~
He shows his commitment and works extra days
Luke is at work on a Sunday
~~~~~

The foreman is alright, but can bring dismay

Luke is at work on a Sunday

~~~~~
Things got heated late on Friday
Luke is at work on a Sunday
~~~~~

He stayed in his office all Saturday

Luke is at work on a Sunday

~~~~~
I’ll have to move him before he decays
Luke is at work on a Sunday
~~~~~

No one will find him under hardened grey

Luke is at work on a Sunday

    I arrived at the construction site this morning and found "Luke is at work on a SUNDAY" written in black caulk on a benchtop. It sat with me all day, so I took a picture of it and used it as inspiration to write this poem. This poem is complete fiction, and I hope Luke is being compensated for coming in on his day off.
