Loving the Signs
I’ve loved many,
Each a mirror, each a map,
Fragments of myself reflected back
In every constellation I’ve held close.
These loves—facets, hues, little mosaics—
Have etched stories on my soul,
Building me, shaping me,
Piece by precious piece.
I’ve loved a Pisces,
Who taught me to believe
That I was worth something—
Even when I didn’t feel like much at all.
Their kindness lingered like mist,
Gentle yet impossible to ignore.
I’ve loved a Taurus,
Who cradled my inner child,
Showing me that joy need not be earned.
They taught me how to savor life’s small moments,
Like bubbles blown into the breeze.
I’ve loved a Sagittarius,
The reason my farewell is still a playful “Byyee,”
The reason I hum to Periphery,
And laugh at “Okay, den” when it sneaks into my words.
They showed me how to embrace
The freedom of whimsy and wanderlust.
I’ve loved a Gemini,
Who held my hand through self-discovery,
Whispering that there’s no apology
Needed for being exactly who I am.
Through them, I learned to breathe deeper,
Knowing that queerness is not just accepted,
But celebrated.
I’ve loved a Libra,
Who balanced my scales when I tipped too far,
Teaching me that harmony with oneself
Is the key to true authenticity.
They were a gentle reminder—
Life is not a tightrope but a dance.
And I’ve loved a Leo,
Who roared softly into my heart,
Reminding me that love without self-love
Is no love at all.
Through them, I found the courage to stay whole,
Refusing to melt away for someone else’s warmth.
So, who will my heart belong to next?
I don’t know—and that’s the thrill.
Anyone could arrive and say,
“She’s the one,”
And I’ll meet them fully,
In all my lights and colors,
With all my quirks and edges—
Open, unafraid, and ready to be seen.
Because love isn’t just about who stays,
It’s about the journey we take—
And the ways we become
Every sign we’ve ever held close.
