Love's Brief Illusion
Ambition's Path Leaves No Room for Fantasy
They say love is for the aimless souls,
A fleeting high, where passion rolls.
But those with fire, with dreams that soar,
Know love is just an empty lore.
For in the climb, where power calls,
Who has the time for Cupid’s thralls?
Ambition burns with steady might,
While love fades quickly in the light.
The heart that hungers for the sky,
Has little time for whispered sighs.
For once the fantasy is done,
The world demands, the race is run.
Romance may glitter, soft and bright,
But fades beneath the weight of night.
Success and love—two roads apart,
And dreams leave little room for heart.
So let the dreamers chase their flame,
While we who rise, who seek our name,
Know love’s just fleeting, dressed in art,
It crumbles fast when life must start.
