I am fixed to this spot, magnifying glass in hand. I have taken inventory of myself and now point the lens to the center of my chest, a slight angle toward the sun. I hold it long enough; a small dot forms, an irritation growing. It feels particular and significant until my eyes relax and the dot bleeds into the reds of my skin.

kp

I am a non-binary, trans-masc writer. I work to dismantle internalized structures of oppression, such as the gender binary, class, and race. My writing is personal but anecdotally points to a larger political picture of systemic injustice.

So deeply tragic, and beautifully evoked- such brilliance is what I've come to expect from kp! Such feeling work here :)

The calm and steady contemplation of obliteration is both soothing and horrifying.
