a mother's love

a child's memory

By kpPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

she only took pictures

with people she loved,

never realizing that she could love herself

enough to capture the lines from a life of laughter and smiles,

or the greying hair from rearing children,

or the weight of poverty and stress.

she deserved the frame as much as the next.

This is absolutely beautiful. I never liked to be in a photo either. I am 69 now and I like it even less.

This reminds me of my mom. She also never liked to be in pictures herself.

I saw this earlier because the picture and just remembered to come back to it. I have no idea why you needed to know that, but hey, I'm a writer. lol. Anyway This is a beautiful picture and your mum sounds like an awesome individual from your eloquent and heartfelt words. Just stunning, KP! Well done!

This is stunning in its simplicity and depth. A quiet, poignant tribute to a mother’s selfless love—the kind that gives endlessly, often forgetting itself. That last line? Hits right in the heart. She deserved the frame, indeed.
