Love or Contract?
Lies held in hand drafted words you never meant.

Thought it was true when you looked in my eyes,
Not terms and conditions disguised as sweet lies.
You held me so close, like your heart had no end
But now I see clearly, you play to pretend.
Each word that you spoke felt like gold in my hands,
But love built on lies is just castles in quick sand.
You kissed me like promise, then vanished like smoke,
Left me in ruins from vows that you broke.
You loved me in daylight, but slipped through the night,
A thief of a woman’s peace wrapped in charm and delight.
Took what you needed, then tore it apart
Signed with a smile, but you forged every part.
Was I just a clause in your contract of ease?
An option, a fallback, a temporary tease?
You read all my softness like pages to bend,
Then tossed me aside when you reached the end.
I gave you my soul, not a loan to repay
But love isn’t love if it walks away.
You breached every bond, every truth we had known,
Left me to bleed from the seeds you had sown.
No courtroom, no witness, but I plead my case:
You lied in my bed with a stranger’s face.
Now I rewrite the story, tear out the deceit,
And rise from the ashes you laid at my feet.
Carry your own conditions, your terms, your regret.
I’m not a mistake, I’m the deepest love you abandoned and left.
’Cause love isn’t paper, and hearts don’t renew
You lost me for good… and in turn, I found love in me too.
