Love is...

and what it's not...

By Lena BeanaPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Love is...

not blind,

as some would claim

nor mere infatuation

where faults and hurts

go unnamed.

It does not cry defeat

when pleasure fades

into pain.

Love will...

not suffer fools,

nor endure the weak,

but it demands vigor,

and rewards the meek.

Agonizing,

Enduring. . .

That's what

Love is.

    Very true, well put <3

  • Nicely said, Lena. Far more impassioned, eloquent & lyrical than what I wrote using the same title.
