Love, after goodbye

It still persists

By Daniel KPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

If I cannot touch you,

I will reach for you in words,

does it feel

like my hands on your waist,

before we let go?

Tell me where it aches,

and I will write I love you’s,

until the past dissolves,

the way it was

before you turned into poetry.

About the Creator

Daniel K

I write love poems about the girl who has a hold over my heart and my life in such a way that neither are my own anymore. The girl I would choose over and over and over again. I love her, and that is the beginning and end of everything.

Lovely poem. And that image is so powerful, it hurts. I like how the wave makes it look like wings on him. Fantastic!
