Eventually I
came to realize
love is not for me.
It overshadows all else,
posing as this thing to be adored,
silencing the calls of the world.
Elimination of the self.

Posing as this thing to be adored. Nicely Done!!

Super!
Congratulations on Top Story! This packs an emotion punch. With just a few words it gives us a transition to self-knowing.
Congratulations!
Good stuff 👍👍
Gorgeous poem!
Oof. Heavy stuff Kari, but well-written. "silencing the calls of the world." is a great way of showing how when you are in love, you miss or ignore other duties and needs and wants. Perfectly ties into the idea of being eclipsed!
Amen lol
I'm calling it: winner!
Beautiful poem! Congratulations.
**Elimination of the self.** So powerful!

Great take on the challenge. Well done, and congrats on the TS.
Powerful poem. Ending with "Elimination of the self" colors the whole poem. Beautifully done and congrats on the Top Story!
This was exquisite; I am a new subscriber and send congratulations on your well deserved top story!
Amen!
This is a great acrostic, and extremely relatable for me. I'm starting to feel the way you describe, these days. Life is so much more productive and saner without 'love' messing it up!
