Is a dangerous thing

By Beloved Natarí KaelumPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Where in the world did my penny go?

I look high

I look low

Back and forth

To and fro

But I can’t find it.

Have you seen it

It’s brown like me.

I can describe it from front to back

All around.

Can you help me find it

If you put it on it’s side, it rolls right on off

Give a flick of the wrist and it spins a fortune

Believe me or don’t

Did you hear it?

When it fell from my hand it made a clinkin-like noise

Maybe rolled a little bit

But I’m positive it came this way

And it landed right where you’re standing

Not to be rude

But I can’t leave here without it, it’s more precious than any marble

So I have to know

Where in the world did my penny go?
