Lonliness

A Love Poem

By Shana MariePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Loneliness is a thunderstorm

That rages and swirls within me

Laughing without, battling within

I hide from the world it's sad rumble

Like a toy, my heart is thrown about

Memories of love lost clung to

I search the faces of those around me

Could one be for me....?

I've waited so patiently

For a love with no holes to fall through

Cry for an unloved heart broken

By a man with no eyes, a slippery smile

Like a small child quick to give it's trust

I stumble oft but keep arms open wide

For he who can see what others could not

A smile of truth and love upon his face
