Love and Lies

A Love Poem

By Shana MariePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Skin crawling, tingles abound

With you I'm not sure what I've found

Heart beating, you take my breath

Your eyes a pool of infinite depth

I want to trust myself to you

But afraid of regret if I do

Tell me love, that I am safe in your arms

Tell me your intentions will do no harm

I try to be strong but in truth I've melted

Your hands and lips expertly wielded

Seek secret places I've yet to discover

The night blankets us under its cover

Morning bears mysteries soon to be solved

Will love shine through or will it have dissolved?

Reaching for you, questions in my eyes

Pull me close love, don't answer with lies
