Loneliness

This is the story of a lonely woman who misses her husband.

By ᴀɴᴅʀᴏɪᴅ 21Published 8 years ago 1 min read

I'm lonely

Night blew softly on the window pane,

Only giving a slight noise to ease the pain,

My life is burden with loneliness,

Because without you there's no one to hold,

Keep me warm when it's cold.

The lights in the room are always off,

So I guess I can tell you something when I say it's dark,

The lights being off in my room scare me,

Because you aren't near me,

You aren't here to protect me.

Come home quick and tell me everything's fine,

Because without you my life's out of line,

There are things in the house I still can't find,

Right now my hearts at war with my mind,

And even now im speaking in rhymes.

More days

Here is a note for you that I wrote,

I don't think you got it though,

You're also in a dark place,

Its filled with war,

But, don't worry you'll make it out.

The nights may be cold there but remember I'm still here for you.

I got your notes though,

they keep me going knowing you'll come home,

Having someone warm to hold,

That'd be great right now,

But, tonight we're both alone in bed dreaming of the other.
