Why am I not living for today

Why I cannot see whats meant to be today

Why am I so caught up on the future instead today.

I live in the future, but my soul is tied on today

I rather fly away and set shore on another day,

I rather have what I want already instead of procrastinating on things today.

Ahead of my time , but I have to dedicate my time for today,

As I run on this thin line I make the most of my day,

Instead of sitting around doing nothing, letting time go by until my body decay.

I flip on the switch in my mind so I may pave away

Pave a way for the future, so I may get to that certain day

I know that certain day will bring me happiness.

So I bring forth satisfaction to my happiness now

Setting thankfulness for my living now

I'm living for today so I don't question why and how.

Living for today is the reason why I'm paving the way for the future now.
