Remember the spontaneous route we took?
The club was on the way home
so let’s relinquish control.
A fuchsia upholstered couch was the stable image in the hazy disco lights.
People expounded upon each other’s energy.
You could find life anywhere you were willing to open yourself up to it.
The heat that was being expelled from our moving bodies was tantalizing.
Our laughter and each other’s touch cured any amount of negativity.
I am always in search of the opportunity to
connect with a sweaty handsome stranger,
strike up thought provoking conversation
and letting go of bitter preoccupations.
Rather they be real or perceived.
