Life is for the living
Fear for the regret
Chance is for the moment
the ones that have not happened yet
Tears are for the lonely
Sometimes they fall with joy
Second chances only
Keeps us tethered or destroyed
Hold on to the memories
But don't let them hold you down
Wear them as accessories
As jewels in your crown
Sail the salty ocean
Beneath the moon's ever jealous rays
Name your taste in poison
And then make your get away
Taste the piquant breezes
Employ the western winds
To lost, forgotten beaches
Where tranquil waters have no end

We're supposed to be going on our first cruise in a little over a month. This is like Christmas. You're poems aren't making those days go faster, lol!
Beautifully done, Kelli
Gorgeous work Kelli! You better say that! 💪🏾
We sip from fleeting moments, Bittersweet and bold, Each memory a token, Each heartbreak spun in gold. To sail is to remember, To drift is to forgive, Life is not for waiting, It’s for those who dare to live.
Wonderful written
