Listen.
The shiver rolls inside my hollow chest.
I am afraid today.
Do not let the heavy darkness steal your breath.
I beg you, stay close to me.
I am the frantic waves breaking against your solid sand.
Decay does not touch us.
Though time is a thief stealing our youth.
Look.
My spine is a bridge spanning your deepest canyon.
Walk on me fearlessly.
Even if my bones crack under the heavy weight.
I would carry your ghosts with a smile.
Swallow the poison so you taste the honey.
One soul.
We are gnarled roots tangling in the deep.
Enduring every heavy, cold winter.
A love that death himself is too afraid to touch.
Eternal.

Damn, this is incredible. So much weight and intention behind it. I wanna say I can relate to the idea of being so fully for another that you’ll let your bones crunch to be a bridge for them. I don’t think it’s always healthy, but I’ve been there in that feeling of I withheld commitment, and total sacrifice. Powerful writing!
I love this line: "A love that death himself is too afraid to touch." I want to remember this line forever.
The imagery stayed with me long after reading, especially the bridge and roots. Beautiful and haunting.
Oh wow, this was so poignant and beautiful. Loved it!
Beautiful
I love that last picture. Let love rise eternal. Love it,
