Lingering Thoughts
Depression and anxiety take hold.

Eye of a Depressed Soul
She walked into class quietly.
She felt the shake and the fast heart beat of her anxiety.
She knew she wasn't the prettiest.
She knew she wasn't the skinniest.
All her life she felt like she wasn't good enough. The people who didn't understand told her to be tough.
Nobody knew the thoughts in her head that lingered.
The thoughts of death from a trigger finger.
No matter what she tried to hold her head up. Even when she felt fed up.
As the years went by she kept it together.
Her anxiety still exists but her strength will always persist!
