Long after your Gone

You snuck up on me

It was like finding hole

In my favorite sweater

One mark, then two, then three

Before I knew it, you filled the gaps

And held my attention with laughs

I gasped when I found you left

You took all your stuff

It was like you were snuffed out

Of my life

While a big circle is inside my heart

heartbreak

About the Creator

Lisa Pulliam

I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.

The way you compared love and loss to a sweater unravelling really struck me.
