Light Up Your Sky

Mine

I looked for dawn

inside the rain,

I carried doubts,

no stairway to go on

I feared darkness

when all lights go out,

and yet,

when last step came,

I felt your light,

you glowed

in love,

you took my hand,

there's so much sunshine,

in your eyes

I can't let go,

I feel heart smiling

every time

we share sunlight.

***

Sunset and moon

still keep heart bridge,

I feel your love

lifted on breeze,

I tell each flower

and the wind

there is no other love

to last lifetimes

of laughter,

dreams

I want to be on the same wave

I will know you

each time you call my name.

I loved this. I read it through four times. I don't think they all count, but anyway. It's magical. Every word is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and the imagery and sentiment are beautiful 😁
