Light The Way For Me
A Poem

You hang there, swinging in the wind,
On the old tree next to the trail,
As I take my nightly walk past you.
***
I glance down at the ground.
The pebbles, twigs, and dirt are barely visible,
Beneath your soft, gentle glow.
***
But that’s okay.
I don’t need the brightest light,
Just the light that will guide me on my path.
***
The light that won’t waver,
That will be there for me,
No matter what happens.

Lovely words and lights don't need to be bright, just to be seen
Sweet poem! It makes me wonder who put the lamp there and turns it on!? 💜
