I used to take pride in big & small things. Now I take pride in nothing.

I discover time
as pink moons.
How has one year
passed already?
//
I used to take pride
in big & small things.
Now I take pride
in nothing.
//
I miss surging at
the sights
of I don’t know.
Oh, I don’t know.
//
The water.
A mirror.
Grass.
The world turning.
//
Nighttime.
Short skyscrapers.
Rooftops.
Sandal straps.
//
A family, a family, a fam-
ily of model figures
I placed gently on the toilet
in our bathroom.
//
Oh, they’ve fallen over!
What does pride feel like now?
I’m only arrogant now.
I keep one stem of every rose bouquet.
//
I place dried petals on my tongue
at full moon ceremonies.
Tonight it’s pink, it’s pink
again, oh.
//
I’m starting to believe or
wonder
if the way I move my fingers
matters.
//
If there is not enough love
in the world.
If there is too much
time.
