Let's Take a Woodworking Class

Edges, Ledges, Pledges

By Rowan Finley Published 6 years ago 1 min read

Dripping candles sweating

Lovers betting

On fickle futures

And old heart sutures

Your hand

Is on demand

And your heart is too

Take the cue

Take my lead

To proceed

Dipping into bed

Enough said

Let's take a woodworking class

So I can channel your sass

Up and down, sanding

Smoothing and demanding

Building and yielding

Bodies shielding

Here as we lay

Tuck me away

High up in the castle

Lovely little hassle

Maple wood and cedar

Faster faster be the leader

The smell of saw dust

Wildly continue to trust

Dancing shadows

Furrowed eyebrows

Sighing and hushing

Slipping and gushing

Oh this was nice

Now quiet as mice

Sleepily breathing

As the day goes leaving

love poems
