The lilac breeze calls out to us,

Let's be flowers together,

Wild and in the wind.

We’ll grow bravely in the meadow and

In the pavement cracks.

Our petals covering the sidewalk

Like confetti,

As if left over from the springtime celebration

A thunderstorm can bring.

Let's be flowers together,

The wispy clouds sing out,

And revel in the rain showers

That reveal the luscious greens.

And let's stand tall with crooked stems,

Our colors boasting our beauty

As we listen to the chime of birds

Welcoming spring home.

Let's be flowers together

And let us grow our roots deep.

As the sun sets down its golden light

We will bloom and dance under the stars

Because we are flowers together.
