Let It Be

Any life truly lived with authenticity will ride the uncertainty of life’s ups and downs,

Trusting in the greater plan,

Taking the lessons learned, the hard yakka thrown their way,

And turn it into a positive attribute that helped paved the way to success.

**

Change is a given, of that they are sure, and cannot be outrun, dodged or skirted around,

And having the fortitude to roll with the punches is a skill hard won,

So much so, that it’ll make a fine addition to anyone’s resume,

A bucket list item in life’s sacred lessons.

**

Courage and resilience becomes home grown, instilled as an attribute bravely come by,

Although the absence of fear is an unattainable goal,

Instead they’ll push through the fear, rather than skirt the challenge,

And come out the other side, blazing in their glory.

**

Embracing life’s foibles will ensure a smoother ride, a more even keel, totally unsinkable,

It’s all a matter of choosing how one will react to the curves and back-steps,

The erratic swings and roundabouts,

The roll within every day adventures.

**

Persistence and passion in pushing through into the unknown, to bravely face any adversary,

Will build the emotional intelligence to scour any mountain,

Understanding the concept of impermanency,

Allows acceptance to become part of one’s soul.

**

Trusting in one’s ability to survive, to excel, to win any battle that needs to be faced, to gain the upper hand,

To ride the waves,

From excitement to disappointment, from fear to love,

And know that they will always be okay.

**

Acceptance is the key, to accept all that is and to bravely let it be, to exist within the essence of inevitability,

The ability to hang on when the going gets tough,

To find solutions to challenges,

And to enjoy the good times as, and when, they exist.

**

Never taking life for granted, never giving up, resting but never quitting, to move through,

Endeavouring to learn, grow, expand to fit the current reality,

That set of awesomeness that’s moving through any given day,

And learning to love it all; every step of the way.

**

Championing their own life, being their own hero, picking up the broken pieces and honouring themselves,

Saving their sanity through the knowledge that they can handle it all,

Surfing the crest of happiness,

And hanging on tight with the crash of any wave.

**

Every person who calmly insists, patiently persists, never resists, but lives by the code,

‘It is what it is’,

Is a dangerous individual indeed,

Because they have mastered the ability to live within the bounds of acceptance.
