Well-wrought! Of Anne Rice's characters, Lestat was the most engaging.

  • Ooh I loved that! Right away gave me the full picture, great use of language!

Your use of archaic diction and minimalist structure creates a haunting blend of reverence and dread. It’s reminiscent of classic vampire literature distilled into pure essence.

Well done on the haiku, Lamar. Great story by Anne, too. Not as good as the one that started the whole series, but still good. <3

I have yet to read Anne Rice's novels, but my mom LOVED her books, and she had me watch Queen of the Damned and Interview with the Vampire (both of which, admittedly, I loved). Lestat truly is the Brat Prince, as they say in the books. This haiku is a chilling complement to his character and to vampires overall. Excellent job!

Chilling. I used to love the vampire stories. But this is a great haiku, Lamar!

  • I feel like I am the vampire.. did you sweat blood to write this?? did I drink it in?? . i feel like i am in the shadows... oh no!!...

  • Yes, the monster of all. A sharp one, literally, Lamar!
