Learn the Colors of the Rainbow in Order

The rainbow has a perfect range of colors.

You don't have to choose a favorite

Because they are all beautiful.

There are seven colors in all.

They are in a special order.

And very easy to learn.

First, there is RED

That begins the list.

Think of an apple or Rudolph's nose.

The second on the list is ORANGE.

It's the radiant color

And not the citrus fruit.

Then there is YELLOW;

The color of a banana and the sun.

It is the smiling color.

The next on the list is GREEN;

The same color as grass.

Also, think of green beans and green peas.

Following green is BLUE.

It is the soothing and calming color

Just like the sky on a beautiful day.

After blue comes INDIGO

That might not be in a box of crayon,

But it is in the rainbow.

Last but not least is VIOLET.

The name of a flower as well.

The color and the flower are sweet.

All the colors together spell a name.
