Sometimes I feel like I'm contagious
not like Covid, but the flu
outrageous yet courageous
when it comes to loving you
Cities shut down at the notion
that I'm still brewing here, in town
a potion of emotion
guaranteed to bring you down
*
yeah, I feel like I'm contagious
your ecosystem can't keep up
Feeling a little ostentatious
waiting for a follow-up
Better hurry, call your Dr
bring an apple, when you come
Subway, cab or helicopter
no matter how, just get it done
Add it to the final chapter
we're only starting to have fun
*
I should wear a warning label
won't leave your imaginations, free to run
Keep your hands off of the table
a fever like a hot cross bun
A clinic opened - down the street
vaccines, for all, to go around
So be prepared when next we meet
I'll be the one wearing the crown

Mic drop! Powerful poem!
Great poem, lots of fun. Unfortunately, I believe I'm up to date on my vaccinations (at least as far as the laughter is concerned).
Definitely a slam dunk poetry , I enjoyed this 🥰
Quite the poem for this day and age.
