Laughter is contagious
it ripples through the air
they say, if it affects you
somewhere down deep, you really care
It reinforces social bonds
releasing those endorphins
hearing someone laughing
is like pumping joy into your veins
It starts with just a giggle
a delayed rumble deep inside
The kind that makes you wriggle
putting that bounce, into your stride
They say it's the best medicine
and if that's really true
Then, it's as clever as Tom Edison
generating social revenue
What's good for me, is good for you
and I believe that's why we're here
Here's a little Deja vu ---
laughter shared together, brings us all a bit of cheer

As much as I appreciate & applaud you for this piece, Kelli, I have to ask--why do I get the feeling they're laughing at me?
Not me laughing along with that crowd! Awesome poem!
So true. Great job, Kelli!
