Laugh a little, love a lot
Sounds so simple, how come it's not
This world may seem a fickle mess
But there is kindness, I must confess
Unto others, do no harm
Make not a fist, but open arm s
Take not to heart, bad words said to you
Remember,
Mean words bounce off me and stick to you
Let others curse all they wish
Swim away just like a fish
If people try to bring you down
Never let them see you frown
There is good inside everyone
Bursting out to have some fun
Do not pout, stomp, cry, or yell
Call others names or say they smell
Instead, just turn the other cheek
And share the secret that they seek
I promise it is quite enchanting
You can’t be angry when you’re laughing

I chose to write this as a childrens poem, who enjoys laughter better?
A shout out to Cathy Holmes who spotted the last line in a story of mine. Saying it is tattoo worthy.

Definitely the best medicine!
Laughter heals the soul when love lights the way.
Ah, the innocence of youth, if we allow them to be young...these days i wonder. Love the tone, a break from the sadness is a wonderful gift.
Such an uplifting and encouraging poem, Jason! It brought a smile to my face! And it's book-ended with two strong contending lines for the challenge!
I just loved this. It brought back memories of my own childhood, the childhood of my children, and also bought back the innocence of children and how they should all be smiling. A kinder gentler time. It made me smile this morning, thank you so much for writing this. This should have made Top Story. Nicely Done!!!
This is beautiful, a lot of poured in that one, it's so pure 😊
Well-wrought! However, there are very selective moments when one is willing to bear the brunt of a curse to punch up at those authorities which travail the children. In the end, Jesus died on the cross, but not before he turned the tables on the moneylenders. Many who interpret his story seem to miss the causal connection between the latter action and the former!
Jason, I do believe you have the makings for a terrific children's author. Now to find an illustrator.
Absolutely wonderful poem, Jason! Your final tattoo line is my favorite so far!
Jason, this was amazing!! Right from the first line (which is the one I'd get inked) all the way down to that last line! Loved this!!
Print it out and put it in some kindergarten classes- or some office cubicles. Everyone could use a good reminder
Wow fantastic ♦️♦️
