Last Night

Underneath the dark, deep sky,
Silence keeps the secrets of stars.
The fleeting wind, a muted sound,
Such a big world and we are alone.

Where shadows, dreams decay;
Slow, stumbles time in its decay.
The moonlight weeps its silver spill;
A hush in fragile calm breathless still.

Hands, hands twisted, silence speaks,
Hearts, beat away loudly, yet courage falters.
Not a promise now; sun not shining anymore,
Yet fading echoes empty skies.

But somewhere in this void, a speck of blood still burns.
Fluid. The break of love that broke the link.
Born bright with darkness,
One last flare, our last true night.
