Lake Crescent

About a spectacular lake in Pacific Northwest

By Seema PatelPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

You see the above reservoir,

surrounded by greenery,

of maples and firs,

it's Lake Crescent,

a large, deep water body,

carved by glaciers,

with crystal-clear water,

in Olympic National park,

in the Pacific Northwest.

Floating rain clouds,

kiss the canopies,

of the temperate rain forest,

breathtaking place to be,

enchanting to walk around,

and to sit in tranquility.

But it has also witnessed

gory human stories.

A woman, brutally killed

and dumped by her man,

preserved mysteriously,

surfaced decades later,

to expose the criminal.

I wonder,

what other secrets

are hidden beneath

the placid water!

Great poem, and I believe that there was even a movie made with this plot. Just seen it a few months ago on Lifetime channel or it could have been Hallmark channel one of those romance movies. Good job and it is a beautiful area.

It sounds like a beautiful place despite the stories
