On a spring afternoon,
I went to the backyard garden,
with a wooden tray
to see, what I could find.
I came back with the following:
potato, tomato,
brinjal, radish pods,
spring onion, carrots,
lettuce, mustard,
chives, Swiss chard,
kale, collard
calendula, nasturtium.
Not much as such,
but for a little family,
this organic produce
is not insignificant either.
I felt rich,
as I chopped the harvests,
for our supper.
I must say,
not all wealth
are money or gold,
sometimes,
it can be the garden bounty,
grown from seeds,
tended with care,
and picked with gratitude.

Your gardens so beautiful 🌼🌼🌼🌼
You are so lucky and a great farmer/gardener. I wish my garden would grow like yours. I dig it up in spring, weed the garden and water, but all I ever get are tomatoes and zucchini. I even compost a lot like coffee grounds and other pieces of natural trash and water, even though by surprise we got a squash that probably grew from the compost. It probably is to hot and humid for it is hard to keep up with the weeds and we have to look out for nasty fire ants too. Good work on the poem.
They look sooo good! Happy for your harvest!
Nice one
