Their lack of emotional depth is enough to leave me dumbfounded.
Yes, I stand confounded.
Yes, in disbelief, I remain well rounded.
On what false guise am I grounded?
I will go home and find contentment, all alone, in the echoes of my sleepless night.
Yes, that sounds about right.
From this morning, I reflect on the robins who I saw take a happy little flight.
Below, striving to disappear, the worms squirmed in their shadowy fright.
