Labyrinth of Eros (Love)
Poem by, Denise Jennifer Acosta
Memories on my mind,
Continue to rewind,
Back in time,
Where I knew how to rhyme.
Where all my thoughts can flow,
All neatly in a row,
Sounding just like a pro.
Just like a baby foe,
I had to learn how to grow.
Looking for guidance,
Only gave me an alliance,
With open defiance,
That led to nothing but crying.
My heart is frying,
As I sit here denying,
Someone else is lying.
No matter the pain all I know is to keep trying.
So I will continue to keep prying,
Without slowly dying,
Because of all the defining,
From the Shadows Aligning.
The process of healing,
Is a really great feeling,
Inside and out,
And that's without a doubt.
All it takes is the right route,
With all the space to sprout.
May there be no drought,
That will leave me in a pout,
I'm not looking for clout,
Or wondering about.
I know who I am and what I am made of,
So all I have ever asked for was some love.
Yes, it comes from up above,
Flying in the sky looking like a dove.
Soaring and exploring,
With a little bit of roaring,
Beautiful and never boring.
With a sight that's so adoring.
Real and true,
And loyal to you.
When I said I do,
Every single letter was and is true.
So I sit here wondering how you can always leave me sitting here so sad and blue?!
