L E A F

A Poem

By Kale SinclairPublished about 22 hours ago 1 min read

Hello leaf, soulless and free.

How on earth did you find

all of this solace in me?

From where have you come?

For why have you came?

Such travel is menacing.

Brimming with pain.

Vipers hide.

Patient and watching.

The roads you require

are treacherous and daunting.

Goodbye leaf, soulless and free.

Here is an eye to see all that you see.

I love you, L e a f.

Forever at peace.

You have opened my mind

to a life that is free.

You seem to have caught the essence of a lone leaf as it was falling. Good job.
