Comparing Summer to Florida and You,
Thou Art more fresh and giving.
Subtle waves of temperate charms
like wings and winds a granted blue ---
Yet here you're red like impossible living --
Forgotten seasons, eternal heat doth harms
while cursing love of frost and snow
beguiling like a starving snake writhing.
If Love be Blind, what light may save my arms?
As hearts and spades turn to skip beau
Your offer deadly as a fire killing farms.
