A tear steals away here, in the dark,
escaping down my cheek.
No real reason why it fell,
It’s just been that kind of week.
I’m lonely for a life un-lived.
Some fairy tales I bought.
A purchase that I can’t return,
a trap that got me caught.

I’m the Keeper of the ashes,
a broker for the lost.
My fee doesn’t amount to much,
a broken heart is what it costs.
So, leave your pain there on the table,
I’ll make sure it finds some rest.
Let go of all your sorrows,
cleanse the heart there in your chest.
I’m the keeper of the ashes -
Let the healing breezes blow.
Find the flowers in the wounds,
I’ll love the burden, you let go.

Beautiful :)
Such a sad, beautiful poem.
I thought - there's no way she can just keep writing absolutely amazing pieces, but here we are in the place where I'm proven wrong again - great writing

This was deep! I am having a painful year, but I still can't cry. It makes me feel heartless. But I do love this poem!
Emotional and melancholy, yet, your poem is comforting. Lovely👏💖😊💕
