Just one more story, then I'll go to bed,

But, hey!

Why not read or write instead?

"Okay, just another won't hurt,"

That's what I said,

Followed by,

It will satisfy my head.

Just one more story, then I'll go to bed;

Can't you see? You're tired, sleepyhead!

Yes, I know,

One more won't hurt;

I promise I'll wake up bright and alert.

Just one more story, then I'll go to bed,

Sleep is calling,

Yet, I'm still reading.

Followed by another,

And another,

And just one more,

Dawn is breaking, but I'll ignore!

Just one more story, then I'll go to bed;

To hell with it!

I'll sleep it off in the morning!
