Just Another Face in a Crowd
Different than most, but just another face

Just Another Face in a Crowd
Painted bright in neon tones
Eyes like secrets never told
Lips that speak what no one hears
Stuck between the bold and cold
Copy, copy, row on row
Smiles that match and hearts unknown
Hair of flame and sapphire swirl
None of them quite stand alone
Look too long, you’ll miss the shift
Someone’s gaze is holding back
Not quite plastic, not quite flat
Cracks beneath the glossy track
One is breathing, one is real
In a frame that never fades
They don’t see her, won’t admit
She’s the only one who stays
So she waits among the loud
Swallowed by the colored noise
Not a muse, not made of ink
Just another girl, no choice
Then a blink, a breath, a step
Out beyond the painted wall
No confetti, no applause
Just the silence of it all
She was never built to match
Wasn’t printed, shaped or sold
Left the image, kept her name
Walked away from bright and bold

One must be true to oneself no matter what may be happening for things will work out one way or another. Good job,
I think about the same things every time I scroll through social media. I feel like I'm looking at a thousand accounts all belonging to the same person. I'd love if people would enhance their own uniqueness. For me that's true beauty inside out. Great poem!❤️
Really appreciative
