Judgment
Are we to assume that what you’ve said is true,
When you spread gossip in an atmosphere of a zoo.
In the halls of respect, there’s no representation,
On the hill, it’s often called that’s lost its reputation.
It’s not one but many who seek to shroud,
Their words set on fire to satisfy their favorite crowd.
Is this justice the common person questions,
Or is it bias, or prejudice, that serves only one direction?
Had it not been for the votes of those afar off,
Who listened to your promises, those now that you scoff?
There wouldn’t be those of you who scamper around,
Feeling your words priceless and works shouldn’t abound.
We’ve come to the place where questions are many,
But there are those who can’t or won’t answer any.
Is this justice, you tell me, a denial of confession,
Or simply a signal of cowardliness, a sign of suppression?
Perhaps we voters should rethink our choices,
It’s evident you’ve turned from listening to our voices.
What was intended to be something simple and free,
Has caused many of us to turn and quickly flee.
Granted there is a remnant of honesty somewhere,
A faction that can confront this atrocity if they dare?
Yet, I see them not standing in the aisles or sitting in chairs,
Their vacancies make one think that no one really cares.
Judgment is near, it’s not far away now,
Requiring those in power to kneel and bow.
To those who placed them in their positions,
For they owe a word or deed or some confirmation.
