The journey has come to it's end, no more stories to tell
We must go home, back to our world, though I do wish you well
This journey we went on was quite unique, we learned much of who we are
We beat back the odds and conquered our fears! We now shine like a star
It wasn't that easy to learn who we were, the things we hid down below
We started as friends, but along the way, we more than once became foes
But through all of it, we persevered and did our best to make it right
The things that we said, the things we did, the times we got in a fight!
And now at the end, we're better for it, we have become true friends
Despite what occurred it seems that we, may now make it through to the end.
Through all of our trials and all of the pain, our friendship has come to endure
Whatever may happen from this moment on, we will always be able to cure.
So now it is time to say goodbye, though I pray it will not last forever
I think we shall see each other again, at some point in the future whenever
When next we meet I hope that we have many more stories to tell
But now it's time, away we must go, though I do wish you well

Quite an insightful piece, I get the feeling that friendships that have a foundation of battles won, refines the individuals that are involved. That we should not esteem the good times, but rather the bad times because it is what makes a lasting friendship. Thank you for sharing.
