Jesus walked Upon the Water

He saved them they where in shock

Jesus walked Upon the Water

The wind howled.

The waves reared up,

dark shapes against the sky.

The boat swayed,

the men clung on,

their voices lost

in the storm.

Next a figure,

stepping lightly,

where no man should stand.

Water bowed beneath Him,

but did not take Him in.

They whispered, and cried out,

fear twisting in their throats.

Is this a ghost, or a dream,

Maybe it’s a trick of the night?

But He spoke,

steady as the rising sun.

“Do not be afraid.”

Trust me I will save you.

One stepped forward,

The men watched

with trembling limbs.

For a moment,

the water held.

Then fear took hold,

The sea reached up,

a desperate cry,

a hand outstretched.

He pulled them away

from the hungry tide.

The wind fell quiet,

the sea lay smooth,

and the night

stretched safe the water still.

Jesus walked on water Amen 🙏

Amen, and yes, he did. This is a good way to tell that story.
