January Lingers It Makes Me Sad

I long for the cold to wave goodbye

January Lingers makes me sad

January lingers, cold and gray,

Summer feels so far away.

The days are short, the nights are long,

We dream of warmth where we belong.

The sun will shine, the skies will clear,

But now we wait for that time of year.

Though winter stays, we hold on tight,

Summer’s promise will make it right.

Sitting outside, the sun on my face,

Happy people all over the place.

I love summer, please understand,

Summertime, I wish it was at hand.

January’s chill will soon melt away,

And bring the warmth of a brighter day.

I hope that the year bodes well for all of us, though January is a little reflective! Beautiful, Georgie.

Yes, it will but I hope not too fast for I like the winter for it gives me a short respite before humidity strikes again. Good job.
