Introduction

This is for both Poppy's Prompt #10 and the Vocal Sensational II Challenge.

Although it is only five lines I will make it difficult for myself by including one of Poppy's words on each line, making it Acrostic (using "Poppy" as the word) and with an ABABA rhyme format.

The music is "Kiss That Girl" by Pop Will Eat Itself (also known as the Poppies)

Poppy's prompts are:

  • Dart
  • Drought
  • Splinter
  • Fate
  • Key

It's Poppy Time

Please Do Not Try And Hurt And Hit Me With Your Dart

Oh Hear Me Listen, I'm Not To Blame For Your Drought

Perhaps I'd Taste Blood If That Splinter Hit My Heart

Please Can You See That I'm Not Here To Seal You Fate

You Know The Key, Smell The Poppies Before We Part
