“Words kill,
words give life,
they’re either poison
or fruit.
You choose”
‘Sticks and stones may break my bones
but words will never hurt me’.
We know this old school-ground saying
as a good defense
against bullying.
In the last few years,
however,
we have started to Learn
how “words” can
affect our Mental Health.
Speaking
is one of the first forms of communication
that we Learn as babies
and we grow up ‘copying’
what we hear.
From this,
we have learned
that some words can Encourage
and
some words can discourage.
Which
Builds Up Our Confidence
in Life Itself?
It does often come down to
‘think before you speak’!
This is one way
which makes us different
from the animals
we share our planet with.
That our words can physically change things
— for the good
or for the worst.
As we always like to hear Positive words
and someone saying: “Well Done You”,
we should use our words
to Build Confidence in others.
When our friends see us walking towards them,
how do they feel
about what we’re going to say to them?
Will we Smile and say a cheery “Hello”,
or will we frown and say something nasty?
Surely,
all of us want to Help others
by using our words for
Building up Self-esteem
and
Love towards Life.
