Intricate patterns

A million words wove in subtle pictures,

Such words, hidden from the innocent eyes.

Deceiving lone minds, infectious the curse,

Determining their fate leading with lies.

Drawn into the pictures, seeking new life.

Enveloped, sweet madness, cursed by delight.

Entranced by the mirror, where lies no strife.

Possessed by a dark angel, veiled pure in white.

Hypnotized; zombies fallen to her art.

Forlorn darkness, infestation of mind.

Delusion arises, truth falls apart,

Nothing remains, save the lost soul enshrined.

Imagination and dreams, cease to help.

Fastened in limbo, striving to get out.

Mania blurs the unrecognized self,

No prayer for rescue, virtue of doubt.

Tangled, a cesspool of morbid logic,

Fettered by chains forged of loss and despair.

Thoughts of escape, the mind waxed neurotic.

Decide your own fate, a plan you prepare.

To trap the dark angel in her own mirror.

Insanity; so difficult to escape,

Possible only once you overcome fear.

A destiny your own, begins to take shape.

Emerging from the shadows, you soon realize,

The sweet tastes of reality also were lies.
