How capture you my heart, my one and only?

And make me to dream of you, at all day’s end?

To force aside all thoughts of mine, hear my plea!

O’ To my heart’s desire will you not tend?

Brittle and delicate, as dust on the stars,

Made fragile was my heart, by he up above.

Predetermined this meet, and made this night ours.

He knew my nearing death, he calls now, my love.

This demise that has flourished, was to be our fate;

Poisoned in your love, numb to all else I feel.

None love I so deeply, none such immense hate.

O’ burning heart! Heaven’s vast light cannot heal.

For this plague you have sent has corrupt’ my soul.

But eternal hell is the lovers’ dark toll.
