INTO THE UNKNOWN

A poem

I venture,

Into adventures,

I have no idea of.

Everyday,

Everytime,

Something new,

Something untried,

Emerges, from nowhere,

Somewhere and everywhere.

I choose a route; But,

My paths are crooked,

Rocky and lopsided.

I look here and there,

Up and beneath,

Right and left;

Still, not a clue,

Of what is true.

I’m oblivious

Of what is ahead

My understanding hidden

From what I should expect

And how I should tread.

The silence is deafening

Quietness, frightening

Still trying to find the meaning

Of the figure at the foothill.

Every step I take,

every move i make

is, into the unknown.
